A Digital twin is a virtual model of a process, product or service

This pairing of the virtual and physical worlds allows analysis of data and monitoring of systems to head off problems before they even occur, prevent downtime, develop new opportunities and even plan for the future by using simulations.

An example of digital twins is the use of 3D modeling to create digital replicas for the physical objects. The Digital Twin can be used to view the status of the actual physical object, which provides a way to interact with physical objects in the digital world. For example, when sensors collect data from a connected device, the sensor data can be used to update a “digital twin” copy of the device’s state in real time.

If you would like to talk through how a Digital Twin would help your business then we can arrange a demo with our collaboration partners at : WMG, The University of Warwick.
